I know that it has been a while since I posted to my blog. Today, I got some time to sit down and finally write about something on my website.
In this post, I’ll be providing an update to the progress regarding getting affordable and reliable public transportation in Warner Robins, Georgia, and also accessible transportation in the city.
Warner Robins City Council In The Community And Town Hall Meeting
On August 19, 2024, thanks to one of my friends, I had the opportunity to attend the Warner Robins City Council in The Community Meeting and Town Hall at Fellowship Bible Baptist Church.
People from the community were able to come out and ask questions regarding different topics. I was there for only one reason. That reason was to get an update regarding public transportation in the city. I also thanked them for installing the Talking Accessible Pedestrian Signals on Kimberly Road.

Summary
To summarize, the Mayor says that they’ve been getting a lot of requests for public transportation, and they are working on some options in order to fit the size of the city. They are thinking about implementing a shuttle-type service. Also, the Middle Georgia Regional Commission (MGRC) is working with the State of Georgia to come up with a transportation option for Houston County, Georgia.

Other Highlights
Before the video, I would like to highlight one more thing. I had the opportunity to meet the founders of Ride Robins, a bicycle and micromobility advocacy organization for the Robins Region.
I also had an opportunity to meet other community members at the town hall as well.
